Georgia Southern's (GS) softball team travels to Tallahassee this weekend to take part in the FSU Dugout Classic.
Currently, GS is 7-8 overall after putting up a 2-3 record in the GATA Challenge last weekend.
This weekend's tournament is hosted by Florida State and will kick off on Friday, March 3. The Eagles will begin the tournament facing Colgate (6-7) and UMass (3-6).
The meeting with Colgate will be the first meeting between the two schools, while UMass holds a 2-0 lead over the Eagles.
GS continues action in the FSU Dugout Classic on Saturday, taking on UMass and Florida State.
Florida State enters the weekend 15-3 overall after putting up a 5-0 record in tournament action last weekend. Florida holds a 38-3 lead in the series between the two teams, and the last meeting between the two came on Feb. 8, 2015, a 4-0 win by the Seminoles.
Saturday’s games will take place at the Joanne Graf Field at 10 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.
