Georgia Southern's home football game at Marshall on Oct. 12 has been picked up by ESPNU, as announced Monday by the Sun Belt Conference and its television partners. The game will kick at 8 p.m. from Allen E. Paulson Stadium/Evans Family Field.
The Eagles (3-2, 1-0) are off this weekend while the Thundering Herd (2-2, 0-0) are scheduled to host App State on Saturday.
With the announcement, it means five of the Eagle's first six games will be or have been broadcast nationally.
This game has also been deemed a WHITE OUT by GS Athletics.
It's time to paint the night white as the Georgia Southern Athletics Department announced Thursday a White Out at Allen E. Paulson Stadium/Evans Family Field when the Eagles host Marshall on Saturday, Oct. 12 in an 8 p.m. game that will be televised nationally on ESPNU.
The Eagles will wear a white jersey on white pants uniform combination to celebrate the promotion. All fans are encouraged to unite and join the team by sporting white attire to ensure a successful White Out that impresses on national TV.
The official 2024 White Out T-shirt was a joint project between GS Athletics and the Southern Exchange Company. Fans can purchase the shirt for $12 ($2 from every shirt goes to the Eagle Nation Collective) at GSEagles.com/WearWhite.
Additionally, concessions will have special White Out themed food options:
- White Out Nachos - nachos with chili and white queso cheese - available at Crunch on the south side of the stadium
- White Out Loaded Fries - fries with chili and white queso cheese - available at Dippers on the north side of the stadium
- The White Talon - Two chicken tenders in a hot dog bun with white queso and bacon bits - available at Eagles Perch on the north side of the stadium
