William “Bill” C. DeLoach, Jr. left this life behind on Friday, December 20, 2024.

Bill was born in Statesboro, Georgia and was a lifelong resident of Bulloch County. After graduating from Statesboro High School in 1965 he joined the United States Air Force, which eventually led him to Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma, where he met the love of his life, Karen Harper. After some years out west, the Georgia pines were calling Bill home so he, Karen, and their young son Andy moved back to Georgia where they would raise Andy and eventually Jonathan and Dane.

Bill had a gift for fixing anything mechanical and would spend the next 40 years turning wrenches, welding, fabricating and building hot rods and racing cars and was the proud owner of DeLoach mechanic services for almost 25 years. Always quick with a joke or a humorous story, Bill loved to laugh and shoot the breeze with just about anyone, especially if they were talking about hot rods or racing.

The thing in his life he was most proud of and would brag to anyone who would listen, was his grandchildren, Kate, Jake, and Bennett. They were the apple of his eye and will miss “Papa” dearly.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, WC and Betty DeLoach, his stepmother, Martha Ann Whitfield, and two brothers, Wayne Deloach and Jerry DeLoach.

Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Karen DeLoach, his three sons, Andy, Jonathan, and Dane, his beloved daughter-in-law Krystal, his grandchildren, Kate, Jake and Bennett, as well as his sisters, Gwen (Stevie) Cleary, Sheresa (Bobby) Steptoe, his brothers, Doug (Thelma) DeLoach, Calvin (Loureena) DeLoach, Corbett (Lorna) DeLoach, his sister-in-law, Jan DeLoach all of Statesboro, his sister-in-law Linda Tinker and Patty Ford, his brother-in-law, Mike (Brenda) Harper, all of Oklahoma City Oklahoma, a special cousin Sandra Clay, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
