Roy Lee Jackson, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, at Wellstar Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. He was born on November 20, 1956, in Statesboro, Georgia. A proud graduate of Statesboro High School, Roy dedicated much of his life to the profession he cherished as a truck driver, forging a path that served him well through the years.

Roy was known for his friendly and comical spirit and zest for life. He had a profound understanding of the importance of having fun and connecting with people, often seen enjoying lively gatherings, dancing, and sharing a drink with friends and family. His love for celebrations and togetherness brought warmth and laughter to those around him, creating lasting memories that will be fondly remembered.

Roy is preceded in death by his mother, Reta Mae Jackson; father, Lee Roy Pierce; and sisters, Gloria Jean Jackson, Barbara Jean Jackson, Cynthia Burroughs, Elise Jackson, and Robin Pierce. 

Roy was blessed with a beautiful family. He is survived by his three daughters, who will forever cherish the memories of their father, Shemeka Braziel, Sherita Wiggins, and Mirakle Jackson, who carry forward his legacy with love and pride. He was a doting grandfather to Charsavion Braziel, Angel Braziel, LaCorian Wiggins, and Justin Wiggins; Roy also leaves behind his siblings: Brenda Jackson, Joann (Rodney) Jackson-Mitchell, Michael (Karen) Jackson, Mark (Miranda) Jackson, Cynthia (Elvis) Jackson-Young, Solomon (Gillian) Smart, Eddie Pierce, Lula Pierce, Ricky Pierce, and Shawanda Pierce; he is also survived by a wide circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who had the pleasure of knowing his kind heart and vibrant personality.

As we remember Roy Lee Jackson, we honor a man who celebrated life in a way that brought light to many. His legacy will live on through his family and the countless memories he created with those whose lives he touched.

Public viewing for Mr. Jackson will be held Friday, March 7, 2025, from 1-5 pm, with the family to receive visitors for the family visitation from 5 pm-7 pm at the funeral home.

The Homegoing Celebration for Roy Lee Jackson will be held on Saturday, March 08, 2025, at 11 am at St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church, 2227 Mallard Pond Rd. Statesboro, GA 30461 with Rev. Joel Davis, eulogist, and Rev. Timotheus Mincey, Pastor/presiding.

Per Mr. Jackson's wishes, his final disposition will be cremation.

The Repass will be immediately after services at the Honey Bowen Building, 1 Max Lockwood Drive. Statesboro, GA 30458.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
