Paul LaMontagne

April 5, 1945 - April 14, 2024

Paul LaMontagne, affectionately known as Papa, passed April 14, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born to Louis and Yvonne LaMontagne in Salem, Massachusetts. Papa enjoyed playing with all the children in his company. He spent endless hours in his shop tinkering with anything from a go-cart to toy boxes for the grandchildren and various projects for Nana. Papa was an avid fan of Nascar, his favorite driver being Jeff Gordon. Playing the lottery was a serious hobby. He would spend hours with his little book determining what numbers to play. Prior to meeting Nana, he spent his free time building and racing go-carts. Papa met Nana at Studebakers in Savannah. For years their Saturday nights were filled with shaggin’ to the oldies. We sure will miss our Papa.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Richard LaMontagne, a sister, Germaine Spano, and brothers, Francis LaMontagne and Michael LaMontagne.
He is survived by his wife, Linda LaMontagne, his daughters, Tami (Shawn) Hunt, Lori Parker (Richie Akins), and Norma (Jimmy) Griner, his grandchildren, Michael (Erin) Newton, Joshua Newton, Brandi (Adam) Taylor, and Zachary Lisi and (Haley Kissiah), and his great-grandchildren, Lillian Newton, Mikey Newton, Trevor Jennings, Lucas Jennings, and Raelyn Taylor, and his canine best friend, Rocky.

A private celebration of life has been planned.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Agape Hospice, especially; Janet, Autumn, and Martha for the care shown to Papa and our family.
