Patsy Lou Beasley Brannen, 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Ogeechee Area Hospice, following an extended illness.

Patsy was born on October 25, 1942 to the late Eloise and D.C Beasley, the second of their seven children. She lived all of her life in Bulloch County, graduating from Statesboro High School in 1960. She worked many years in the medical field as an office manager in pediatrics then later in physical therapy.

Patsy married Raymond Brannen on June 1,1963, they were married 61 years. In the early years of their marriage, they enjoyed going to gospel sings and attending many revival services. Later in their marriage, they discovered the love of camping and they continued to do that for many years until health issues limited their activities. She enjoyed quilting and playing cards with friends, and especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother, Inman Beasley, and her niece, Paula Beasley.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Raymond Brannen, and her children, Micheal Lee Brannen (Wanda), Patti Brannen, and Jason Brannen (Jamie). She was blessed with six grandchildren, Emily (Bryan) Jones, Megan (Dylan) Tavison, Luke (Hannah) Reaves, Ethan (Hannah Douglas) Reaves, Gabe Brannen, and Drew Brannen, her great-grandchildren, Micah Reaves, Mason Reaves, Ellie Grace Jones, Kenneth Michael Jones, and Danny Lee Tavison, her four sisters and one brother, Zena Gordon, Sue (Hugh) Colson, Melissa (Jerry) Brown, Lynette Cooper, and Bobby (Shirley) Beasley, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 21st at 2:00pm at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Ronnie Alderman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, PO Box 531, Statesboro, GA 30459, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org , or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
