Mrs. Lillian Cone, age 65, departed this earthly life Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
The native of Statesboro, Georgia received her formal education in the Bulloch County School System.
Lillian was a former employee of Statesboro Head Start and Pineland Mental Health, until she started her own personal care service in 2004. She attended the Elm Street Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her father, Elbridge Donaldson.
Those left to cherish her many loving memories are, her loving husband of 48 years, Dennis Cone, Statesboro, GA; three loving daughters, Lea Monica Cone, Jutosha Cone and India Cone, all of Statesboro, GA; her loving mother and step father, Margarette (Billy) Brannen-Hendrix, Statesboro, GA; step brothers, Al Hendrix and Alfred Hendrix, both of Statesboro, GA; grandchildren, A’Keem Oglesby, Elijah Cone, Italy Brinson, Asia Hagins and Brycen Cone, all of Statesboro, GA; great grandchildren, Envi Cone and Ryder Harden; sisters-in-law, Valarie Cone and Barbara Cone, both of Statesboro, GA; a brother -in-law, Raymond Cone, Statesboro, GA; a loving devoted friend, the late Loretta Williams and Selena Williams, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing for Mrs. Cone will be held, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Hill’s Mortuary.
Mrs. Cone will lie in state at the church on the day of service from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour.
There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
The funeral service for Mrs. Lillian Cone, will be held, 2 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2022, at the Elm Street Church of God with Pastor Alexander Smith, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastside Cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
