Mr. Christopher Ashton Joyce-Lanier, age 20, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
He was a Bulloch County native and a 2022 graduate of the Union Grove High School, McDonough Georgia.
“Tootie” as he was known to his family and friends, had a love for football and video games.
“Tootie” leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Natalie Joyce, (Chris Maloy), Statesboro, GA; his father, Wendell “Tony” Lanier (Valerie), McDonough, GA; his brother, Kase Kirkland, Statesboro, GA and Wendell Lanier, III, McDonough, GA; five sisters, Devlin Lanier, Harmony Lanier, Winter Lanier, Justice Lanier, and My’Yon Lanier all of McDonough, GA; his paternal grandmother, Karen Smith of Statesboro, GA; his maternal grandparents, Garfield (Kale) Joyce, Austell, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A balloon release will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Louetta Moore Park, Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Statesboro at 5 pm. (the colors for balloons will be black)
A viewing will be held on Saturday evening, March 9, 2024, at Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
The funeral service for Mr. Christopher A. Joyce (Lanier) will be held, 2 pm Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the chapel of Hill’s Mortuary, Inc. with Rev. Maurice Hill, officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
