Michael Shawn Connelly, age 51, died on Friday, August 2nd 2024 in Savannah, GA. Michael was born on January 23rd 1973 in Tallahassee, FL to the late Howard Donald Connelly and Peggy Ann Smith Connelly. He worked as a general contractor for many years and was known as a jack of all trades. Michael was loved by all of his family and will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents, Michael was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Herbert Dean McKenzie.
He is survived by his son, Dylan (Lacie) Connelly, two grandchildren, Carson and Luke, his sisters, Deborah York, Cathy York McKenzie, and Ursula Michelle Love and her boyfriend Mardie Tinney, as well as his extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:00am in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro. The family will receive friends following the service.
