Mrs. Martha Clark Williams, age 94, died on Wednesday October 4, 2023, at Browns Health and Rehabilitation. The Brooklet, Georgia native was the daughter of the late Raleigh Clark and Lella Mae Smith Clark. She lived in the Brooklet area all of her life. Martha was employed with Rockwell Company which later became Brooks Instrument, where she retired following 34 years of service.
She was a member of the Brooklet Primitive Baptist Church.
Martha was preceded in death by her three children, Henry Waters, Vera Mae Waters and Jack R. Waters and her husbands, Harold Thompson and Carl Williams.
Surviving are her three grandchildren, Nicolette Cone of Tampa, FL; Jack Raleigh Waters, II of Brooklet and Amanda Leigh Penn and husband Doug of Huntington, West Virginia; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Cone, Randi Cone, Alyssa L. Waters, Calvin Penn and Harold Penn and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 10:00am until 11:00am at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
Graveside services and burial will be Saturday at 11:30am at Bulloch Memorial Gardens with Elder Bill Durrence officiating.
Pallbearers will be Raleigh Waters, Robb Back, Allen Hood, Brian Huckleby, and Nicholas Cone.
