Ms. Marcena Ein Brinson, 71, of Sylvania, GA, passed away Monday night, October 7, 2024, at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
She was born on April 22, 1953, to Ward and Caroline Thomas Brinson, in Sylvania. Marcena was a hairdresser for many years and owned her own hair salon in Statesboro. She had a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in adult education. She was a cosmetology instructor at Ogeechee Technical College and then taught at Tattnall County High School. Marcena loved living in the country, and most of all, Marcena loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson, James.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ward and Caroline Thomas Brinson, and her brother, Ward Novak Brinson.
She is survived by her son, Ein (Alexandra) Brinson, and a grandson, James Ward Brinson, all of Jacksonville, Florida, and too many special friends to list.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Garrett Brinson, Tara Dickens, Linda Tuthill Proctor, Ginger Hippensteel, Carl Akins, and Tanner Kent.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Bay Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Blake Hicks, Linda Tuthill Proctor, and Ryan Brinson officiating.
