April 30, 1934 ~ May 8, 2023 (age 89)
Madlyn Howard, dearly-loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, 89, of Savannah, passed away on Monday, May 8th in Statesboro, Georgia.
Madlyn was born in Savannah, GA to George and Ola Peirce on April, 30th, 1934. She was a dedicated follower of Christ for her entire life, active in the local church, and taught Sunday school for over 25 years. She worked in support roles in the medical field starting at 18 and retired at the age 65.
Madlyn is preceded in death by her parents, George and Ola; brother, George Pierce; sister, Dorothy Pierce, and sister in-love Mary Pierce, as well as great-granddaughter Emma Rose Birchfied.
Madlyn is survived by her children, eldest daughter, Debola Gayle & Cecil Turner; sons James & Debbie Howard and David & Kim Howard, and youngest daughter Christie & Steven Birchfield,
11 grand-children, and 4 great-grandchildren as well loved nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
The celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 13th at 10am at Compassion Christian Church, 55 Al Henderson Blvd, Savannah, GA.
