Kenneth Elmo Quick, 78, of Sylvania passed early Wednesday morning at the Optim Medical Center Screven.
Kenny was born to Joseph Elmo and Beatrice Flakes Quick in Waynesboro, GA. He was a member of the Farmdale Baptist Church and retired with 30 years of service as an electrician from Koyo Bearing. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed caring for his land with his tractor. He was preceded in death by his sons, Kenneth Wayne Quick and Robert William Quick; sister, Brenda Quick; sisters-in-law, Marie "Nutty" Holtzclaw, Mildred Juanita Lee, Ann B. Johnson; brothers-in-law, Glen Brown, Talmadge Brown, Alton Brownie Brown, and Robert Holtzclaw; and special friend, Linda Jayne Reddick.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Linda Brown Quick of Sylvania; sons and daughters-in-law; Keith and Heather Quick of Sardis, Randy and Cindy Morton of Bonaire, Kris Quick of Sylvania and Patsy Thompson of Sylvania; sister, Pat Quick; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Eloise Collins, Margaret and Arnold Kimbrell, and Bernard and Sandra Brown; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 at 3:00pm in the Screven Chapel of Joiner Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Dent Wiggins and Justin Brannen officiating.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
Interment will follow in the Screven Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Josh Quick, Jimmy Thompson, Blake Morgan, Jimmy Kimbrell, Don Colbert, Shawn Smiley, Michael Morris, and Ron Whidby.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Jones, Chris Lewis, Jerry Reddick, Bill Forehand, Randy Williams, and Charlie Heindel.
