September 10, 1950 - August 12, 2023 Mrs. Kay Diane Williams Patrick, age 72, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro.
Kay was born and raised in Savannah to the late James Floyd Williams and Kathryn Bell Williams. She attended and graduated from Savannah High School in 1968. Kay started off as a secretary and began her training to become an insurance adjustor for Gay & Taylor Insurance Adjustors in Savannah. She retired as a mail clerk for Smith Brothers. Kay loved fishing, camping, spending time in the mountains, and playing with her grand and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents. Kay was a believer in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Kay is survived by her husband, Leonard Patrick of Brooklet; a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Weinberg (David) of Greer, SC; her son, Michael Zehe of Tampa, FL; a brother and sister-in-law, James Williams (Mishell) of New Smyrna Beach, FL; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna (Timothy) McCutcheon of Wentzville, MO; step-daughter and son-in-law, Amy Patrick Weate (Nick) of Napa, CA; step-son, Derek Patrick of Brooklet; five grandchildren, Malia Weinberg, Jessica Weinberg, Jacob Zehe, Kyrene Foxall, and Taylor Zehe; three great-grandchildren, Aubrey Zehe, Colton Zehe, and Willow McPherson; two step-grandchildren, Guin Patrick and Orion Patrick; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins that also survive.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 12:30pm until 2:00pm at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 2:00pm with Elder Dean Robbins officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Shaun Williams, Jason Williams, Michael Zehe, Mike Heppel, Jared McCutcheon, and AJ McCutcheon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Williams and Orion Patrick.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or to Lanes Primitive Baptist Church.
The family would like to extend their thanks for the love and care given to Kay during her time at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
