Jon David Murray, age 69, died on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at his home in Statesboro. Jon was born on April 3rd 1955 in Savannah, GA to the late William Dell Murray Sr. and Dorothy Jones Murray. He was raised in Effingham County and worked as a crane operator with the International Union of Operating Engineers for many years. Jon was also an avid fisherman, enjoyed working in his garden, and working on old tractors. In addition to his parents, Jon was also preceded in death by three brothers, William Dell Murray Jr., Bobby Murray, and Gary Elmo Murray, and his sister, Diane Murray.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Gail Rigdon Murray, his children, Keith Scott, Michele Todd, Tina Howe, and Tony Murray, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brother, Donnie Murray, as well as several nieces and nephews.
