Mr. George Mincey, Jr., entered rest, Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Memorial Health University Medical Center.
The native and resident of Statesboro, received his formal education in the public school system of Bulloch County and was a graduate of the Statesboro High School class of 2008.
At an early age he gave his life to Christ and became a member of the Hodges Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother Burnestine Mincey, grandparents, Willie "President" Mincey and Nora Pryor Mincey, Ida Littles and Richard Hayton.
He is survived by his devoted father, George Mincey, Sr.; his son Kylan Kelley; sisters, Prophetess, Lanika Walden, Atlanta GA and Jerwanda (Jeffrey) Thompson, Statesboro GA; a brother, Michael Fennell, Jr., Statesboro GA; aunts, Grace Millen, Ida Pearl Wiggins and Verna Lanier, and Georgia Hayton all of Statesboro, GA; Linda (Sam) Watson, Dayton OH, Barbara Jean Mincey (Late Willie Lee Mincey), uncles, Richard Frank Hayton, Johnnie Littles, Larry (Beatrice) Mincey all of Statesboro, GA; a special friend and companion, Cassandra Wiggins, Statesboro, GA; nieces and nephews, Alexandria Fennell, Xavier (Tyrenn)Fennell, Azurie Walden, Jeffrey Thompson Jr and Avani Walden; two special friends, Charles “Edward” Joyce and Demarco “Dre” Eason, a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing for Mr. Mincey, will be held, 5 pm to 7 pm, Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
The funeral service for Mr. George Mincey, Jr., will be held 3 pm, Sunday, December 10, 2023, at the chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc. with the Rev. Ernest Harris, officiating.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
