February 12, 1952 - October 6, 2023 - It is with great sadness and respect, we announce the passing of Mrs. Elizabeth Cooper Powell, who departed this life, Friday, October 6, 2023, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center. We solicit prayers for the Tarver family at this time
Elizabeth Cooper Powell was born February 12, 1952, in Bulloch County Georgia to the late Printice and Sarah Mae Cooper.
She received her formal education in the Bulloch County School System and was a homemaker.
Elizabeth enjoyed supporting her family and being with her family.
She departed this life Friday October 6, 2023, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Valerie Smitha and Doretha Jones, two brothers, Curtis Cooper, and Randolph Cooper.
Those left to cherish her memories are, her husband, Richard Powell, Statesboro, GA; six children, Tonya Tarver (Derrick) Riggs, Hollina Tarver, and Bethena Tarver, all of Statesboro, GA, Hollice Tarver, and Romeo Ronald Tarver, both of Statesboro, GA., and Earl Cooper, of Orlando, Fla, three brothers, Leon Earl Cooper and Jerry Cooper, both of Statesboro, GA ,and Lonnell Copper, Portal, GA, three sisters, Carolyn Cooper, Statesboro, GA, Joyce Cooper, Metter, GA, and Marilyn (Robert) Easterling, Union, SC; 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held later.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
