Edward Leon Landis, 72, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by those who loved him, after a short battle with cancer. Eddie was a native of Red House, WV a coal miner and construction worker. It is often said he was a jack of all trades and master of many. He is predeceased by his parents Victor and Emma Thornton Landis. His sister, Sheryl Stuckey, and his daughter Charitie Wolfe.

On November 9, 1995, Eddie married Mary Alyce Mons Brady, and they enjoyed wedded bliss for 29 years. Eddie and Alyce owned A.E.Land Construction until they retired in 2015. Eddie was a union official and of the Christian faith.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Alyce Mons, his son Edward L. Landis, Jr (Lisa), WV; Stepchildren: Joe Brady (Sam), Millen; Tracey Pruitt (Scott), Sylvania; Dana Opperlee (Bobby); Hephzibah. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Edward L. Landis, III, Lougan Landis, Fallon Morgan, Justin Wolfe, Sierra Swofford. And 3 great grandchildren: Laiken Landis, Auberleee Landis, and Edward L. Landis IV. His lifetime friend, Randy Hayes.

A memorial service and visitation will be held at a later date.
