David Harold Lanier

October 23, 1932 - March 4, 2024

David Harold Lanier, age 91, passed away on Monday, March 4th 2024 at his home in Statesboro.

David was born on October 23rd 1932 in Stilson, GA to the late Cecil Lanier and Bertha Futch Lanier. He was raised in Bulloch County and attended Swainsboro Tech. David was a United States Air Force veteran, having served in the Korean War and retiring as a Master Sergeant. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Dan Lanier, and his sisters, Faye Whitaker, B.K. Haire, and Joyce Mills.

David is survived by his former wife and caregiver of 40+ years, Marcia Lewis, his children, Cody Lanier, Buck Lanier Lewis, Lewis Lanier, D.W. Lanier, Lindy Brinson, Susan Kent, and Alicia Wilkinson, his grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Alicia “AJ” Brinson, his sister, Marie Smith, and brother, Roger Lanier.

A memorial service provided by First Baptist Church Portal will be held on Saturday, March 9th at 2:00pm.
