Mr. Ceron Lee, age 71, entered rest, Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at his residence.
He was born August 27, 1951, in Miami, FL. to the late Ceron Jackson Lee and Gladys Sheffield.
He received his formal education in the public School System of Bulloch County and graduated in 1969 and he was an avid cross-country runner and football player.
At an early age he became a member of the St Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church. He later moved to Miami, Florida where he attended the Miami-Dade Community College and the Florida International University, where he earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree.
After retiring as a teacher in the Miami-Dade County School System he returned to Statesboro Georgia.
Those left to cherish his love and fond memories are his wife, Deborah Pierce Lee; three daughters, Melissa Thibeaux (Brent), Shaneka Lee, and Tanesha Lanier (Jamelle); three sons, DeMarr Lee (Danielle), Tron Jones (Christy) and Seneka Anderson; a sister, Regina Benton (Rev. Paul); sisters-in-law, Margaret Lee, Angelia Coles, Cynthia Taylor, Jeanette Perkins, and Lottie Pierce; brothers in Law, Freddie Harris, Linzie Pierce, and Eugene Pierce; grandchildren, Demia Levant (Jared), DeMarra Wood (Danny), Ashley Owens, Jamelle Jr., Lamar Anderson, Precious Anderson, Ty Lanier, Nichole Jones, Brayden Lanier, Jaylen Lee, Lakayveonna Brown, and Saniyah Anderson; seven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Public viewing for Mr. Lee will be held Friday, February 24, 2023, at the funeral home.
The funeral service for Mr. Ceron Lee, will be held, 11 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023, at the St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Timotheus Lee, officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery.
