Ms. Betty Sue Sweat age 70, entered rest Friday, December 20, 2024, at Tattnall Health Care.
The Jenkins County native was the daughter of the late James Willie Sweat, Sr., and Lubertha London Sweat. She received her formal education from the Jenkins County Public School System and was a graduate of the Jenkins County High School and attended the Swainsboro Technical College.
At an early age she became a member of the Gordon Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the church choir.
Betty S. Sweat was a former employee of Jockey's of Millen Georgia and McDonald's, St. Petersburg Florida.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Joe Sweat, Carey Sweat, Geneva Bostic Geraldine Sweat, Linda Sweat, and Diane Sweat.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, DeAndre Lewis, and Bianca Sweat; her siblings, James Willie Sweat, Jr., Bobby Gene Sweat, and Joyce Ann Sweat Jones, all of Millen, GA, Patricia Rives, Hepzibah, GA, and Sandra Sweat, North Carolina; a special friend, Jackie Heyward, Statesboro, GA, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
