Ms. Bettyjoe Ford, entered rest, Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at her residence.
She was educated in the St. Lucie County School system and graduated from Port Saint Lucie High School. Early in life she began singing as a young girl. In her teenage years she recorded a record with a group of friends that was played on the local radio station. She also had the chance to audition in front of the Judges for Sunday’s Best.
She moved to her mother’s hometown of Statesboro, Ga in 2004. She enjoyed spending time with her lovely two daughters and grandkids and family.
In 2014, she joined the Church of God the Bibleway Apostolic Faith in Savannah Ga, under the leadership of the General Overseer Apostle Clayton Cowart. In 2015, the Church of God the Bibleway Statesboro West, became her local home church under the leadership of Overseer Andrew Johnson.
Her compassion was ministering and singing for the Lord. She served as treasurer of the New Northern District Treasurer.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her daughters, Kerriyanna Wimberly and Breyanna (Simba) Fields, both of Statesboro, Ga. her mother, Betty Davis Anderson; sisters, Shirley (James) Huff, of Statesboro, Ga and Alacia (Monte) Ford-Barron of Fort Pierce, FL; brothers, Aaron Anderson lll. of Fort Pierce, Fl., Livingston (Kim) Roberts of Tampa, Fl., Joe Ford lll. of Fort pierce FL. and Eugene Ford of Fort Pierce, FL; uncles, Roosevelt Lynwood Davis of Statesboro, Ga., Donnie Ford, Ronnie Ford, and Freddie Ford all of Fort Pierce, FL., aunts, Ella Mae David of Statesboro, Ga., and Exmae Davis of Clyo, Ga; grandchildren: Amarion Wimberly, Quentin Wimberly, Chace Pretlow, Comm’en Pretlow, Simyrah Fields, Kylah Wimberly, and Si’braelah Fields all of Statesboro, Ga; nieces, Tiffany Phillips and Cierra (Fred) Jackson both of Port Saint Lucie, Ashley Idol, Nikki Idom, Myrah Zeigler and Aliyah Zeigler all of Fort Pierce, Fl and Addison Diane Anderson of Sebastian, Fl; nephews, Virgil Lee Toliver, Cornelius (Siesha) Toliver, Felix Roberts all of Statesboro, Ga., Timothy Lee (Erica) Gordon, Arsenio (Allie) Wright, Gregory (Andria) Wright, Jr., of Statesboro, Ga., Samuel Joe Zeigler of Fort Pierce, Fl., Aaron Anderson lV, and Arion Anderson of Sebastian, Fl, her best friends, Carla Green of Vero Beach, Fl., Lucille Adams of Alabama, and Jerry Moffett of Statesboro, Ga; a great host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.
A visitation for Ms. Bettyjoe Ford, will be held 5 pm to 7 pm, Friday August 11, 2023, at the Church of God Bibleway West.
The funeral service for Ms. Ford, will be held, 2 pm, Saturday, at the Stevens Temple Church of God in Christ, HUTL ,1 Donnie Simmons Way, Statesboro, GA with the Apostle C. A. Cowart, officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastside Cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
