Weichert Realtors Webb & Associates fills senior holiday wishes

The residents at Eagle Health & Rehabilitation will have a happier holiday thanks to the efforts of the local real estate office.

On November 25, 2024, Weichert Realtors Webb and Associates took a heartfelt initiative to brighten the lives of seniors in the community by setting up a unique ‘adopt a nursing home resident' program. The idea was born out of a desire to give back to local seniors who might not have a family to celebrate with during the holidays.

“We want to spread some joy and make sure every resident feels remembered and appreciated," said Jessica Lee Williams, Weichert associate broker.

Williams, along with the team at Weichert Webb & Associates, worked with Yachi Lanier, Activity Coordinator at Eagle Health and Rehabilitation, to create a list of residents' names and a few items they needed or wished for. A Christmas tree was set up in the Weichert office lobby adorned with 37 tags, featuring the residents’ last name and their wish list.

Community members were invited to pick a tag and purchase a few of the requested items to help make their wish come true. Gifts were then returned to the office wrapped and ready to be delivered.

"We are thrilled to see everyone who has stopped by to support our ‘Giving Tree,”’ said Abby Adams, Marketing Specialist at Weichert Webb & Associates.

On Monday December 23, 2024, Williams and a few others from the office will be taking the gifts to the residents.
