The City of Statesboro is advising citizens that lightning struck and ruptured a water main in the Statesboro Crossing Shopping Center at approximately 6:30 last night.
As a result, some customers in the areas between East Main Street and Highway 67 along Veterans Memorial bypass are experiencing brown water. Run cold water for a few minutes to flush out any discoloration and debris.
