Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10825 invites community to Independence Day Commemoration in Statesboro

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10825, Statesboro, invites all citizens to join them on July 4, 2024, at the Bulloch County Judicial Annex for an Independence Day Commemoration featuring a reading of the Declaration of Independence, an explanation of the Pledge of Allegiance, and insights into the significance of the 13 folds of the American flag.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10825, Statesboro has announced its 5th annual Independence Day Commemoration for all citizens on Thursday, July 4, 2024. 

The Independence Day Commemoration will take place at the Bulloch County Judicial Annex, located at 20 Siebald Street, in downtown Statesboro. The program will start promptly at 10am, so please arrive a little early and bring a chair. It is expected to last until 11:30am.

Attendees will hear a reading of the Declaration of Independence, an explanation underlying the words in the Pledge of Allegiance, and a description of the significance of each of the 13 folds of the American flag.

“This will be a great learning experience for all who attend…regardless of their age or background,” said Dean Rakoskie, Quartermaster of VFW Post 10825 in Statesboro.
