Local dessert sensation The Sweet Impact is expanding into a brand-new location—just steps away from its original storefront. Opening Friday, June 27 at 11:00 am, the new shop at 609 Brannen St., Suite 2, is located right across the street from the old location and next door to Shogun.
The shop founded in 2024 by Robert Lucas, a cake artist and YouTube creator with over 3.3 million followers, The Sweet Impact has gained national attention for its stunning sculpted cakes that look more like artwork than dessert. Lucas has built a loyal fanbase both online and in Statesboro, where his custom cakes have become a favorite for weddings, birthdays, and celebrations of all kinds. The shop features in-house baked sweet treats such as cupcakes, cookies, brownies and cheesecake jars!
The new space gives the bakery room to grow and brings some exciting additions: ice cream and a nostalgic old-time candy bin shop, offering treats for all ages.
“This new location is everything we’ve been dreaming of—more space, more treats, and still right in the neighborhood that supported us from the beginning,” said Lucas. “We’re excited to open the doors and welcome everyone in.”
To celebrate the move, The Sweet Impact will host the opening event on Friday, June 27 at 11:00 am, with extended hours and something yummy for everyone.
