Denim Day is an international event that Georgia Southern has recognized since 2018 by promoting wearing denim and selling t-shirts. Denim Day allows the community to stand in solidarity with sexual assault survivors and raise awareness about sexual violence prevention.

Denim Day t-shirts are now available for purchase for $25, and all sales benefit Mary's Place, Sexual Assault Center of the Coastal Empire, and The Teal House, Statesboro Regional Sexual Assault Center.

Earlier this semester, Student Wellness and Health Promotion at Georgia Southern accepted student submissions for the 2025 Denim Day T-shirt design. Members of the Georgia Southern Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), who represent over 20 departments across campus, selected a design submitted by Christopher Peralta.

Christopher, a junior Graphic Design student, said “The reason I decided to join and make the design is that someone very close to me was sexually assaulted and I thought it would be my responsibility to spread awareness about this subject as much as possible.”
