Two of Statesboro’s senior care facilities were recently presented with awards for providing standout service from the Georgia Senior Living Association (GSLA).
The GSLA’s annual Hero Awards Gala was held on June 15 in Atlanta. The annual gala honors those who make a difference in the senior living industry. Hero Awards were presented at the gala in six different categories. The categories include:
- Volunteers
- Corporate staff members
- Direct care staff
- Community staff member
- Industry partner
- Executive director
Statesboro’s Abide Home Care earned the top spot in the Industry Partner category.
Abide is an independent service provider to the elderly and those in need. The organization works tirelessly to ensure the well-being of their clients in all aspects, whether it be companionship or more assistance such as bathing, dressing or transportation to appointments.
Rhonda Mosley, the accounting manager for Georgia Living Senior Care whose home office is in Statesboro, was named the winner in the category of Corporate Staff Member.
Georgia Living Senior Care owns Willow Pond Senior Living on Country Club Road in Statesboro, as well as nine other personal care Homes across Georgia.
Mosley has been with Georgia Living Senior Care for 12 years and is the individual that all 10 of the Georgia Living communities turn to and rely on for their many business needs.
She handles payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and other financial tasks for the company.
In her nomination one staff member praised her saying “Rhonda is patient and kind. She has a great attitude, is dedicated, hard-working and goes above and beyond the call of duty. With all of the responsibilities she has, she always has time for the communities.”
