Two-hundred and forty-four law enforcement officers, including Captain Andrew Samples from the Statesboro Police Department, recently graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
The prestigious ten-week program offered advanced training in law enforcement leadership, wellness, and fitness, while fostering relationships with law enforcement executives from across the globe.
“The FBI National Academy is a great program where I had the unique opportunity to learn, for ten weeks, from leading experts in the fields of law enforcement leadership, personal wellness, and physical fitness," Captain Samples shared. "A major strength of the program focuses on building relationships with federal, state, local, and international partners. I had the privilege to meet and learn from top law enforcement executives from across the country and around the world. I plan to use these new relationships to better serve the City of Statesboro and its citizens."
Statesboro’s Chief of Police, Mike Broadhead, expressed his pride in Captain Samples’ achievement, stating, “We are excited that Andrew was able to take advantage of this opportunity. In addition to the education he received, he was able to build relationships with law enforcement leaders from across our state, and indeed the nation, which will pay dividends for years to come. The National Academy is known around the world as a fantastic network of resources, and we're proud that Andrew is part of that network.”
The FBI National Academy has been a beacon of excellence in law enforcement education since 1935, with 55,941 graduates from around the world.
The program provides its participants with academic excellence, specialized leadership training, and the chance to collaborate with peers and experts in the field.
