The bustling downtown area of Statesboro joyously extends its embrace to the latest addition to its commercial landscape – Statesboro Mercantile.
Located at 28 South Zetterower, Suite B., in the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority district, Statesboro Mercantile is owned by Ashlee Redding. Operating on a schedule from Tuesday through Saturday, the establishment welcomes shoppers from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m during the week and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. There is a Grand Opening on December 9, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Statesboro Mercantile distinguishes itself as a boutique of high-caliber merchandise, carefully curated from small businesses across America.
Redding, when asked about her favorite products, said, “My favorite products to carry in the store are the handmade products that we carry because they are all unique and different and made with love.” They carry a large selection of handmade products to include pottery, handbags and more.
Statesboro Mercantile came to be when Redding saw a need for a particular store like this one.
“I saw a need for the community to have access to unique, high-quality goods from small businesses around the USA, so I strived to create a place just for that. I hope that people have a positive experience every time they enter our store,” said Redding.
The store hopes to expand to carry more locally sourced goods in the future.
