The Statesboro Jaycees held their End of Year Banquet on Saturday, February 8th at Bulloch First. During the banquet, the Jaycees presented awards to many members of the chapter and recognized the organization's officers who helped play a vital role in their accomplishments last year.
"After having such a successful year in 2024, we wanted to recognize our members who made our year so wonderful," Mandy Kennedy, Communications Director, said. "Last year we were able to host many successful events to help raise funds for many different organizations in our community."
A few fundraising highlights from the year include:
- The Luck of the Irish Raffle raised $4,905.66
- Jaycee’s Nite Out raised $9,000
- The Toys for Tots campaign helped 92 families and 213 kids with 3,317 toys, 151 books, and 648 stocking stuffers
This year Autumn Willis was named Jaycee of the Year!
"Autumn became a Jaycee in 2023 and hit the ground running," Kennedy added. "She has volunteered at countless events, and last year, she stepped in when we didn’t have an Events Director, helping fill that role when needed. She also helped chair our major events last year, which were some of our most successful to date. We know she has a bright future ahead and we can’t wait to see what else she will bring to our organization!"
The 2025 officers were also sworn in at the meeting. The Statesboro Jaycees hope to keep the momentum going and have another successful year with these great officers!
