Statesboro citizens were disappointed to find that Daylight Donuts remained closed after the Memorial Day weekend holiday last month. Signs placed on the front doors indicated the store was closed until further notice due to "unforeseen circumstances," though they hoped to "be back soon."
Much to the delight of Daylight regulars, that time has come. As of Tuesday morning, June 11, 2024, the store is now back OPEN.
The national Daylight Donut Flour Company was founded in 1954, and all Daylight Donuts stores are locally owned and operated. The Daylight Company has its own unique flour blend, which is used in all locations, and everything at the Statesboro location is made by hand, in-house.
