Statesboro Apartment Damaged by Fire on Saturday

Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Saturday afternoon at the Copper Beech apartment complex.

A Statesboro apartment complex had one unit significantly damaged by fire on Saturday afternoon, November 4, 2023.

At 4:18 PM Bulloch County 911 dispatched Statesboro Fire and Bulloch Fire Departments, Statesboro Police Department and Bulloch County EMS to Copper Beech Apartments  located at 1400 Statesboro Place Circle to a structure fire.

The first fire engines to arrive on the scene reported heavy smoke coming from one apartment in the complex and requested additional engines and firefighters to assist with a working structure fire in the complex.

Firefighters made an aggressive attack and were able to contain the fire to one apartment.  The apartment received significant fire, heat, smoke and water damage.

Statesboro Fire CAFE unit responded to the scene to assist in replenishing the firefighters and provide temporary assistance to the occupants.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.  Statesboro Fire will conduct a routine cause and origin investigation.
