The Georgia Southern University Performing Arts Center is set to return to its programming with a free performance of Splish Splash: The Music of Bobby Darin!
Join the Performing Arts Center (PAC) staff on Saturday, January 27th, 2024, as we welcome the community back through our doors with this free, family friendly event. The event will start at 2:00 p.m., with the theatre doors opening for seating at 2:30 p.m., and the show starting at 3:00 p.m.
For the last several months, the PAC has experienced a transitional phase, including the introduction of a new staff; renovations to the building and parking lot; updated landscaping; and the integration of a new, user friendly ticketing software system, Tix. With so many positive changes these last few months, the staff is ready to meet each of you, and to do so, the PAC is hosting Splish Splash: The Music of Bobby Darrin, starring Ron Gartner.
The new staff, including the new Director, Daniel Brown; the new Technical Director, Harley McCumber; and, the new Patron Services Manager, Allyson Lee, invite the community to say hello. In addition to seeing Splish Splash! and meeting the new PAC staff, patrons of this event can sign up to win tickets for future PAC events, with the first 50 patrons through the doors receiving a gift.
But wait, there’s more! The PAC was unable to host a traditional season this year, and while season passes will not be available again until the 2024-2025 season, the PAC will still be hosting a few events throughout the remainder of the spring 2024 semester. Patrons who attend this event will be the first to receive information about the PAC’s programming for the spring. This programming includes five productions in our school matinee series, with each production having an encore performance for community families the same evening of their respective matinees. In addition to the school and family productions, the PAC will host two other shows later in the semester. While season passes may not be available this year – if you’re a season subscriber – have no fear: season passes will be back in full swing next year!
Please join us January 27th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. If you can only attend Splish Splash!, do not worry, the doors will open for seating at 2:30 p.m., with the concert starting 3:00 p.m. This is a free event with general admission seating, and the PAC looks forward to welcoming the community back through its doors.
