Since 1965, Eagle Health and Rehabilitation, formerly known as Statesboro Nursing Home, has proudly served Statesboro, Bulloch County, and the surrounding area community.

An award-winning, not-for-profit nursing facility, one of their main focuses is to help their patients achieve and maintain individual levels of functioning in a warm, comforting atmosphere. The staff there is dedicated to its residents, to their families and getting to know them on a personal level, and to providing care for their residents' individual needs.

Eagle Health and Rehab has an incredible team of compassionate dedicated people, with 61 associates who come to work with a ‘heart for serving’ others. The team of clinical and nonclinical professionals provides direct clinical care, prepares meals, cleans floors and directs activities -- there is an important role for everyone!

"Each member makes a difference in the lives of our patients every day. I call them a ‘Championship Team’!” Rowe said encouragingly.

Yachi Lanier, Life Enrichment Director, has served ‘Eagle’ with a fun and interesting monthly in-house calendar of activities, with unique ways to get the residents involved.

“My goal is to create a warm and welcoming place. I love getting to know each one and being able to come up with ways to get them involved,” she said.

Rowe and Lanier have created special activities including a Hollywood Ball (prom), sweet treats from The Freeze Pop, recognition for Nurses’ Week and National Skilled Nursing Care Week -- radiant memories to mention a few! Cookouts, games, dancing, an abundance of fellowship makes it extra fun to share with their invited family and friends.

Rowe recently sought a community partnership, which has developed a relationship between local non-profit action pact and Eagle Health & Rehabilitation.

“Mr. Rowe and staff have come to educate our Seniors on the benefits of Eagle Health and Rehab and their facilities," shared Alex Smith, action pact’s Bulloch County Coordinator and Alicia Dickerson, Outreach Coordinator. "Every 3rd Monday of each month, a staff member from Eagle Health & Rehab comes, volunteering their time to call BINGO and bring prizes. We appreciate and value our relationship and look forward to more opportunities in the future.”

Eagle is also welcoming of volunteers from the community, if you're looking to expand your community service reach.

Rowe suggested, “Interested in showcasing your musical talents for entertainment or church services? Assisting with crafts or other daily activities? There is always something fun going on at Eagle, and we'd love for you to join in. We strive to make every resident stay as personal as possible, offering many of the ‘comforts of home’ and activities to help entertain and energize our residents.”
