Rotary District 6920 has been awarded a $25,000 Disaster Relief Grant from The Rotary Foundation to support ongoing recovery efforts in communities impacted by Hurricane Helene. This funding is designated to aid affected areas by providing essential resources such as food, water, and hygiene assistance, offering vital relief to residents in need.
Ten Rotary Clubs within the district, including the Rotray Club of Downtown Statesboro, have been awarded $2,500 each to fund community-specific disaster relief projects. The projects collectively will benefit more than 7,000 people and more than 200 Rotarians will be involved in implementing the projects.
