The Bulloch County Branch of the NAACP held the 2024 National Holiday Observance parade on Monday, January 15, 2024, in Statesboro. The parade was held at 2pm and featured elected officials, marching bands, community organizations, businesses, colorful floats and much more.
The national holiday and parade commemorate the life and legacy of the late Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In remembering the work of Dr. King, we display the very best of America in terms of our strength and endurance to overcome and succeed.
Grice Connect's MLK parade coverage was made possible by Ecoplastic and Hill's Mortuary in Statesboro.
Grice Connect also participated in the parade with Ja'Kori Cope, Michele LeBlanc, and Ke'juan Humphries riding in the Grice Connect car.
Grice Connect's founder and owner, DeWayne Grice, was unfortunately unable to attend today's parade coverage or any of the weekend's MLK celebrations as he was traveling to attend the funeral of a Grice Connect team member's father.

A special thanks to Maurice Hill for helping sponsor the parade live stream in addition to assisting Grice Connect's Brandon Robinson with the parade coverage. Grice Connect's Fred David assisted with the live stream as well. We apologize for the technical difficulties with the parade coverage. There were over 70 units in this year's parade.
