Nonna Picci will host the Statesboro Vintage Market at Nonna’s Garage on Sunday, February 2 from 12-5pm.
Enjoy food and drinks while shopping for vintage goods, featuring 23 vendors from Statesboro, Savannah, and beyond.
Founder Johnny McFatten launched the Statesboro Vintage Market in the Fall of 2024 at the Fox Hall in Statesboro. He then held the next market at The Blue Room on the Georgia Southern campus. McFatten says, “The markets went great and these are only growing!”
McFatten, a Georgia Southern University graduate and former GSU basketball player turned his passion for vintage clothing into a career by creating the Statesboro Vintage Market and most recently opening The Archive in Downtown Statesboro.
McFatten was introduced to the vintage scene by one of his former teammates. While thrifting together, his teammate suggested he do a pop-up for his vintage finds. At the time, McFatten wasn’t interested, but he eventually decided to give it chance.
After having success doing the pop-ups, he decided to start the Statesboro Vintage Market. McFatten shared, “I had been going to different markets Savannah, Atlanta, Charleston, and Charlotte and wanted to bring my own to Statesboro and grow the vintage community here.”
McFatten loves vintage shopping and hopes to make a career of it, including opening more locations of The Archive in the future.
The Statesboro Vintage Market will have 23 vendors that will be attending the market this coming weekend.
The market is intended for vendors who sell vintage clothes, antiques, vintage collectibles, and jewelry. Other vintage items are allowed as well. A few of the vendors participating at the market are: Grants Vintage, Dirty South Vintage, Big Kid Thrift, Girls Gone Shopping, Boho Beads Georgia, and many more.
McFatten is also holding a $200 shopping spree giveaway for his followers on Instagram. Follow the 3 steps under the Instagram post found here to enter.
