Sentry Savannah 2025 kicked off January 16 and will continue through Friday, January 31, around the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport. Residents in the area can expect an increase in jet traffic noise, especially during take-offs and landings. Bulloch County should not be affected.

Sentry Savannah is the Air National Guard's premier fighter integration exercise that trains the warfighter to operate and dominate air superiority at the Savannah Combat Readiness Training Center, one of four of these centers in the nation.

Fighter jets and airmen from the Air National Guard are completing high-intensity training during the exercise. Sentry Savannah provides the "ultimate location with access to the Nation’s best military training airspace that allows pilots to sharpen their war-fighting tactics, enhancing the United States’ air superiority."

Aircraft including F-16s, F-35s, and F-22s, as well as cargo and tanker aircraft like the C-130s and KC-135s, have already joined the exercise. This annual event brings together dozens of 4th and 5th generation fighter jets and warfighters from across the Air National Guard to train together.

The Air National Guard encourages you to "keep your eyes on the sky" to catch a glimpse of the US Air Force's best 4th and 5th generation fighters.
