National Cinema Day returns Sunday offering $4 movie tickets at AMC theaters

The 2nd Annual National Cinema Day will take place on Sunday, August 27th at AMC Theaters, offering $4 tickets for moviegoers all day. The national occasion celebrates the magic of movies and the power of cinema in bringing us all together.

The 2nd Annual National Cinema Day will take place on Sunday, August 27th, with most theaters offering $4 movie tickets. AMC theaters is expected to participate.

The 2nd Annual National Cinema Day will take place on Sunday, August 27th. Most theaters across the country are expected to participate, offering movie tickets for $4 all day.

Notable theaters which are participating include AMC Theaters and Regal Movies. For Bulloch County Residents, this includes the Statesboro AMC theater. 

National Cinema Day was brought about by the National Cinema Foundation in an effort to celebrate the power of movies in bringing communities across the country together.

"Building on the unprecedented success of last year’s inaugural National Cinema Day, the Cinema Foundation is calling on film fans across the country to gather for a national day to celebrate the magic of the movies on the big screen," said the National Cinema Foundation in a statement.

The AMC theaters website states:

"Enjoy $4+tax tickets all day on Sunday, 8/27, including Dolby Cinema, IMAX and RealD 3D. Plus, small fountain drink and popcorn combos are just $5+tax."
