Among those injured was 24-year-old Johnathan Vreeland, who succumbed to his injuries at EGRMC. Vreeland, a native of Hinesville, had recently begun working full-time for Foundry Broadcasting, the owner of several radio stations in Statesboro. He was a passenger in a vehicle returning from the Bulloch Academy and Claxton High School football game, which he had covered live with a co-worker.

Vreeland had only started his full-time position at the radio station a week ago, though he had previously worked part-time. His sudden passing has left the local community and his colleagues at Foundry Broadcasting in deep mourning.

This is a developing story. Grice Connect will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Grice Connect extends our deepest condolences to the Vreeland family and the Foundry Broadcasting team during this difficult time.
