Bryn Green, daughter of Boyd and Brooke Green of Statesboro, was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in December 2022 at the age of only 21. Thankfully, the cancer had not spread, and Green is currently undergoing Phase 3 of her chemotherapy treatment and will then have double mastectomy and reconstruction surgeries.
Green's friends Audrey Hodges and Fischer Sharp are organizing a fundraiser for Green in partnership with Phi Mu and Sigma Chi at Georgia Southern. The fundraiser will feature a chicken dinner (plates are currently sold out), raffles for a David Yurman ring and a cooler, and a specially designed "Friends Don't Let Friends Fight Alone" t-shirt. Community members are encouraged to support the fundraiser through donations and purchases of raffle tickets and t-shirts.
Raffle tickets are $5 each. Those wishing to enter the raffle should Venmo @Julianna-Hall-12 with a note of the amount donated, along with which raffle they are entering and their full name. You may also purchase tickets at the mall location of L.A. Waters Furniture or at 30 Volume Salon on Gentilly.
The event will take place Sunday, April 16, at the Sigma Chi house, 101 Olympic Blvd. on campus. Raffle tickets should be purchased by April 15 to be included in the drawing.
