Statesboro is gaining a new dining experience as Happy Wok opens its doors on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 26 Independence Way (former Patterson's Station location). This exciting addition to the local restaurant scene is brought to you by Tina Lin, the owner of the popular Shogun restaurant, which has been a Statesboro favorite since 2010.
Happy Wok looks to offer a unique seafood buffet experience, featuring a variety of options including snow crab, salmon, shrimp, and more. For sushi lovers, the buffet will also include a selection of fresh sushi. The restaurant will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, providing a convenient dining option for seafood lovers.
Adding to the excitement, Happy Wok will be one of the few businesses in Statesboro open on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, offering families and friends a delicious place to gather for the holidays.
Tina Lin, along with her husband and extended family, is no stranger to the restaurant industry. With over 24 years of experience, including operating Shogun and working in Chinese buffets, Tina and her team are well prepared to bring high quality service and food to Happy Wok.
“It’s all family,” said Tina. “We’ve been working together since Shogun opened. While it’s not always easy, we know how to handle the ups and downs of running a restaurant.”
Tina also shared her dedication to maintaining a clean and inviting space for guests. After taking over the building, she and her family worked hard to renovate and clean it thoroughly, ensuring it meets the highest standards. “Cleanliness is so important to us,” she said. “We want our customers to feel confident about dining here.”
Happy Wok’s seafood buffet looks to be a great addition to Statesboro's dining choices, offering a fresh alternative for families and seafood lovers. “We need a good buffet here in Statesboro,” said Tina. “It’s something the community has been missing.”
