The Big Bad Wolf: not big, not bad, not guilty!

“There's something going on in the town of Piggsylvania, and we need your help getting to the bottom of it. Do any of us REALLY know what happened that fateful day the ‘Big Bad’ Wolf came to town? Is the Wolf even that big, much better bad? Who's really in the wrong here?"

On October 30, 2024, the Children's Theater of Charlotte joined the Performing Arts Center at Georgia Southern University for a sold-out performance of ‘The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!’ This show was part of the PAC's matinee series.

Students, families, and senior community members needing a break were all in attendance. Eight different counties joined this performance to create the sold out audience. Bulloch, Chatham, Effingham, Jenkins, Screven, Evans, Treutlen, and Bryan counties were well represented.

“Programming like this is what we love to do and hope to do more of it, providing students in the area with an educational experience that will highlight the Arts is completely in-line with our mission here at the PAC,” stated Daniel Brown, MFA, Performing Arts Center Director.

It was thrilling to meet Shane & Joyce Sullivan at the PAC.

“We are retired and enjoyed having something FUN to do that was in our budget. Seeing the GSU Performing Arts Center was having a matinee, we decided to go. We enjoyed hearing the true story of ‘The Three Little Pigs,’" they shared. "The Charlotte Children's Theater group was very talented, and it was FUN to be part of a jury audience with all the school children as we ‘OINKED’ the NOT GUILTY verdict."

These shows help create a LOVE of theater for kids from 1 to 92! Matinees are daytime convenient (10:30am), only about 45-60 minutes in duration, family-friendly, and cost efficient.

Donya Moore, Coordinator for The Cottages at Willow Pond, attended the Matinee performance and said, “The production was truly impressive, showcasing the remarkable cast talent. I found myself laughing and clapping right along with the elementary school classes in attendance. The audience interaction added to the overall entertainment value, and I am looking forward to bringing my Willow Pond tenants and owners to experience this, as well. It was a pleasure meeting Daniel Brown, who was incredibly welcoming and helpful."
