On Thursday, September 19th, 2024, the highly anticipated Emmie's Fine Gifts opened its doors in the Market District, marking a new chapter in Statesboro’s local business scene. The store, owned by Georgia Southern alumna Anna Snooks Waters, brings a fresh approach to bridal registry, fine china, and gift shopping, with a heartfelt mission to serve the community.

Inspired by her grandmother, affectionately known as "Emmie," Anna's passion for hosting, decorating, and gifting blossomed into a dream of creating a unique space where people could find timeless pieces and gifts for every occasion.

“Growing up, my grandmother always made hosting and setting a table so special. She inspired my love for fine china, and it just made sense to name the store after her,” Anna shared.

Anna emphasized that her faith and the desire to glorify God through her work are core to Emmie's mission. "I believe the Lord gave me this passion and opened the doors for this business. I want people to feel and see the love of Christ when they come through our doors."

Emmie's offers a wide selection of fine china, everyday home decor, men's gifts, baby keepsakes, and much more. What sets Emmie's apart is not only its variety but also the personalized services offered, such as complimentary gift wrapping and bridal registry gift delivery within Bulloch County. These special touches enhance the customer experience, making gift-giving more convenient and enjoyable.

The decision to open Emmie's in the Market District was intentional. Anna highlighted the area's activity and the presence of other small businesses as essential to her vision.

"When this space became available, I just knew it was the right fit," she shared. "Being surrounded by a community of other entrepreneurs in such a busy part of town is going to be great for the business."

As Emmie's Fine Gifts grows, Anna hopes to build lasting relationships with customers and the community.

"The most rewarding part so far has been meeting new people and seeing their excitement about what we’re bringing to Statesboro," she said. “I’m excited for all the future Emmie's brides who will register with us and all the memories we’ll help create.”
