The average teacher is expected to spend about $820 of personal money on supplies, according to an analysis cited by the National Education Association. Of that projected spend, about $200 went to non-consumable supplies last school year, including books.
The team at Goodwill Southeast Georgia recognizes how hard our local teachers, school staff, and administrators work to provide for our students. To show their appreciation, all Goodwill Southeast Georgia stores are hosting a free book giveaway event on Saturday, August 5, from 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
Any teacher or school staff member with a school ID can visit a Goodwill Southeast Georgia location and select ten free books for themselves or their classroom.
