The Georgia Southern University Band is accepting members of the Statesboro community for the Spring 2024 semester.
Membership is open to all GS students, community members, and high school students who have had at least three years of experience on their band instrument. We will be hosting short placement auditions on the evening of Jan. 8 between 7-9 p.m. in the Foy Annex on the Statesboro campus. This is an informal hearing that we will use to place interested members within the band section.
Please note that the University Band is open to anyone who wants to participate and this audition is just for placement purposes. Auditionees may prepare anything that best showcases their playing ability.
Rehearsals are from 7-9 p.m. on Monday evenings starting on Jan. 22. The concert will be on April 29 at 7:30 p.m. Anyone who is interested in joining and/or finding out more information should take a few minutes to fill out this form with some basic information that will help us prepare for you to join us.
