The grand opening of 67 Liquidation was marked by a festive outdoor market last weekend, which included many local businesses selling handmade wares. The event had food trucks, bounce houses, and sweet treats, much to the delight of attendees.
Sponsored in part by Body&Soul Statesboro, a company that also has locations in Brunswick, GA and Jacksonville, FL, the event was well attended. Body&Soul owner AJ Copeland describes his partnership with 67 Liquidation.
"We have a large section inside the liquidation shop," Copeland says. "We're hosting a bunch of vendors for the official outdoor market for grand opening of 67 Liquidation, and we just have a bunch of great local, creative, handmade vendors."
Body&Soul began in 2015 and uses locally-sourced resources to create quality items.
"We're part organic, part new age, all natural; we sell over 500 different organic and locally made products. What we do is we team up with local farmers, artists, and makers, and we buy the supplies and we turn them into products."
Copeland says this outdoor event is one the businesses would like to hold every month.
"We're hoping to set the precedent for a monthly market because we're looking to do this once a month," Copeland says.
