Celebrate the first weekend of Spring at Franklin's Farms this weekend picking strawberries! This is the second year for 'Berries in the Boro,' with strawberries for u-pick and we-pick. The family event will have a bounce house for the kids, hayrides, and family games, along with local vendors with goodies such as strawberry shortcake, strawberry freezes, and more.
After a very successful winter strawberry season growing the variety Sweet Charlie's, Franklin's is now transitioning into Spring varieties. Bill Renz, Owner and Farm Manager, is currently harvesting Frontera, Sensation and Camerosa varieties with around 20 percent of the winter variety Sweet Charlie’s left.
Franklin's Farm Stand is located at 10610 HWY 301 S and is open Monday-Saturday from 9-6 and Sunday 11-6. U-pick baskets are 1/2 gallon bucket for $10 or a gallon bucket for $18. There is no cost for admission or bounce houses.
