The Floors Outlet in Statesboro is hosting its "Socks and Underwear Drive" for FosteringBulloch's Hope Chest.
Fostering Bulloch's Hope Chest processes tons of great clothing each year, but oftentimes receives few quality socks and underwear donations. Fostering Bulloch's organization is asking local residents to stuff the Trolley by dropping off unused and unopened packages of socks and underwear to the Floors Outlet at 1267 Northside Dr. E in Statesboro.
The drive ends on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
"Shortly after we opened our business four years ago in October, my business partner connected me with the Director at Fostering Bulloch, Chris Yaughn, as we were looking to see how we could help support their organization." stated Brian McDonald, Owner at Floors Outlet.
"Soon after being connected with Chris, he told us that we could help support the Hope Chest through collecting socks and underwear donations. He expressed that quality socks and underwear donations don't come through very often. So, our organization began getting the word out through Facebook videos and launched a Socks and Undies drive in October 2019. It was very successful in its first year, and for our 4-year business anniversary, we brought back the Socks and Undies Drive to help support the Hope Chest."
Also, J.C. Lewis Ford is hosting an APW "Wrestling for a Cause" event (sponsored by the Floors Outlet), which takes place on Sunday, October 29th, with all proceeds going towards Socks and Underwear for the Hope Chest. Bulloch Academy is also participating in the Socks and Undies drive until the end of October.
